Loading Nintendo DS Lite AC powered using the USB cable?
NDSL I have a USB cable that normally charged on my laptop. I am looking for a power adapter AC to adapt to my USB, and indirectly to charge my NDSL through it. I have tried using USB adapter HP iPAQ rw6828 cable with my NDSL, and takes good too. I'm not too sure what the digits of the adapter: Input: AC100-240V ~ 50-60Hz 200mA Output: DC +5 V 1A MAX — Is it safe to load NDSL? If not, what is the number I have to watch out for when buying the adapter? I have seen models around 400mA
Any form of USB charger is fine, all operate from 5 volts which is within the safe range for charging the DS (Lite), and as for the current (mA) it does not matter, only how rapidly that charged mA (low means less time to load). A normal USB port on a computer will provide up to 500 mA at 5 volts, so anything there is well. The DS Lite draw to 450mA when charging so I recommend you get the 400mA version is closer to the specifications of the DS Lite Charger
