Can’t play the sims 3, even though system is over the min requirements, help?
Hi, I realise quite a lot of people are having similar problems with the game.
My system is more than adequate to play the sims 3, but for some reason it just crashes – a black screen comes up with white dots, or occasionally its a teal-coloured screen with white dots.
It won’t let me do anything when that happens, so I have to completely shut off my system.
I have updated every aspect of my computer (video cards, etc) with driver updates.
I know its related to my video card (RADEON X300 SE 128mb) and it is compatible with pixel shader, so what the hell do i do?
Any ideas? Or should I just wait for the patch?
Oh and the crash seems to happen after five minutes of play…annoying.

Only the Video card is at the minimum specs, everything else exceeds the expectations!
Start by looking up issues with your video card online. I bought a video card that claimed to have the shader I needed, but it ended up that line was broken and I had a lower shader level. Sometimes, video cards come with issues. My second computer had a corrupt card that would play a few games, but then would completely crash my computer. The company sent me a new one to replace it and everything is smooth sailing.
